Scott Haug
Senior Engineer
Scott is a Senior Engineer at Gumshoe who has been shipping software in Seattle's startup ecosystem for over 25 years. He has a gift for taking complex technical problems and turning them into systems that just work.
Before Gumshoe, Scott served as VP of Software Engineering at Glowforge, the 3D laser cutter company, where he helped build the cloud-connected software platform that powers every Glowforge device. He holds multiple patents for his work there on graphical interfaces and machine access methods. He then served as CTO at Vayda, a regenerative farming startup backed by venture capital, where he built the entire technology platform from the ground up. Earlier in his career, Scott worked at Sparkbuy through its acquisition by Google and held engineering roles at Myspace during its peak years.
At Gumshoe, Scott brings the kind of engineering judgment that only comes from building and shipping across wildly different domains, from laser cutters to farm operations to AI visibility. He is the engineer you want when you need someone who can architect a system, debug a production issue, and ship a fix before lunch.
