David DeCarmine

David is a Principal Engineer at Gumshoe who brings a rare combination of founder experience and deep technical skill to the platform's core infrastructure and product development. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for his entrepreneurial achievements in technology.

David is best known as the Founder and CTO of Game Jolt, a social community platform for gamers and the content they create. He started building Game Jolt at age 14 and grew it into a platform backed by SoftBank and investors from Twitch, Rec Room, and Modio. Building a platform that serves tens of millions of users from scratch gave David firsthand experience with the kind of scaling challenges that most engineers only read about.

David also played a key role at Athletic Greens during a pivotal technology transition, where he helped migrate the company's entire subscription infrastructure to Shopify. That work, alongside his colleagues Jonathan Bender and Yariv Livay, kept the business running smoothly during a critical period of growth. He has also held engineering roles at Flyhomes, Fresh Chalk, Simply Measured, and zulily, giving him broad exposure to real estate tech, local search, social analytics, and e-commerce at scale. At Gumshoe, David builds the systems marketers interact with daily, from report generation pipelines to the dashboards that surface AI visibility insights.
